As a bright eyed and bushy tailed teenager I visited Bolivia at the age of 20. To date, Bolivia is one of the most amazing countries I have ever had the privilege to visit. From the Yunga Mountains to the Pampa Jungle and then the Salt Lake Flats it is a treasure trove of exploration.
The Salt Lake Flats otherwise known as the Salary de Uyuni is the world’s largest salt flats and runs 10,582 kilometres wide. Located in Potosi, southwest of the capital La Paz, the salt crusted flats are a major breeding ground for flamingoes and home to natural hot steam springs Truly a natural wonder that you must see.
